Welcome to the EDIH for Urban Networked Supply and Value Creation Ecosystems, EDIH-Hamburg for short. We are proud to be part of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) program, a program co-funded by the European Union to strengthen digital competitiveness across Europe.
Our aim is to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mid-sized companies and public sector organizations (PSOs) in the Hamburg metropolitan region in particular for the challenges of tomorrow. The requirements for critical infrastructures are constantly changing and new solutions need to be evaluated and implemented – from general digitalization topics and cyber security issues to artificial intelligence, distributed infrastructures and high-performance computing.
Hamburg, known worldwide not only as an important European logistics and business location and as an award-winning “Smart City”, offers both the expertise and the network to master these challenges. Our 6 local partners, including universities, craft businesses, industrial centers and technology organizations, offer our target group a wide range of services – and thus strengthen the innovation ecosystem in a targeted and efficient manner.
Our offerings have been specially developed to meet the economic and geographical conditions of the Hamburg metropolis and the strategy for intelligent specialization and regional innovation (RIS3).
EDIH is a pan-European program initiated and co-funded by the European Union. We are grateful to be part of this initiative. In addition, EDIH Hamburg is funded by IFB Hamburg, the DE HUB program, and the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Hamburg , both of which are supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
This project was funded by the European Union as part of the Digital 2025 research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 101255014.
