In April 2024, Estonia hosted a 50-strong high-ranking business delegation led by Senator Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Senator for Economics and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
The aim of the visit is to promote cooperation in the fields of transportation, logistics and technology.

Some key points to highlight:
1. AI-powered “personal administration”:
With a sophisticated, secure and decentralized IT infrastructure (X-Road), the Estonian administration is pioneering services that proactively simplify citizens’ lives.
This shift towards personalized, proactive approaches has made the administration seamless.
2. trustworthy AI:
Estonia is currently implementing its third AI strategy (!) supported by a robust action plan.
With over 130 AI use cases and more than 40 reusable applications, the focus is on Natural Language Technology, trustworthy and human-centered AI, data governance, HPC infrastructure and the promotion of future capabilities.
3. citizen-centric data management:
Strict monitoring of the use of personal data is an integral part of the implementation of all services.
Specific data management requirements, including privacy impact assessments, ensure that the principles of privacy by design are respected from the outset.
ARIC is particularly pleased that Enterprise Estonia has given us the opportunity to open a branch in this innovation center in Tallinn.
Numerous international projects have emerged from this partnership. A particular highlight is our collaboration with AIRE (AI & Robotics Estonia), which is making an important contribution to the European flagship project EDIH.
