The visit aims to promote cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics, and technology. Estonian entrepreneurs and state representatives were meeting with leaders from German companies such as: Philips, Beiersdorf, Airbus Operations, Lufthansa Industry Solutions, Ports of Hamburg and Lübeck, intuitive.ai GmbH and the EDIH Hamburg Partner Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) etc.

A few key points stand out:
1. AI-Powered „Personal Government“:
Leveraging a sophisticated, secure, and decentralized IT infrastructure (X-Road), Estonian administration is pioneering services that proactively simplify the lives of its citizens. This shift towards personalized, proactive approaches has made governance seamless.

2. Trustworthy AI:
Estonia is currently implementing its third AI strategy (!), supported by a robust action plan. With over 130 AI use cases and 40+ reusable applications, the focus lies on Natural Language Technology, trustworthy and human-centric AI, data governance, HPC infrastructure, and fostering future skills.

3. Citizen-Centric Data Governance:
Stringent monitoring of personal data usage is integral to the implementation of all services. Specific requirements on data management, including privacy impact assessments, ensure adherence to privacy-by-design principles from the outset.

ARIC is particularly pleased with the opportunity provided by Enterprise Estonia, to establish a branch office in this innovation hub in Tallin. This partnership has yielded numerous international projects, with one notable highlight being our collaboration with AIRE (AI & Robotics Estonia) contributing significantly to the European flagship project EDIH.
