Collection of personal data

HITeC only collects, stores or processes data for its own business purposes. In principle, our website is available to all users without any personal data being collected. Personal data is only collected, processed and used to the extent necessary to provide the services or content requested by you. This personal data is collected on a voluntary basis if this is possible for us.

Collection of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information includes, for example, the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. In addition, this data is also generated when you access any other website on the Internet. It is therefore not a special function of our website. The information collected in this way is statistically analyzed by us.

Handling of personal data

Personal data includes, for example, your name, postal address, bank details or e-mail address. We use this data exclusively to answer your inquiries, to send you information material or to process contracts. We do not store any personal data for longer than necessary.

We only handle personal data insofar as this is possible in accordance with data protection regulations. We also take all necessary technical and organizational security measures to adequately protect your personal data from unauthorized access and misuse at all times. In accordance with the state of the art, we make all necessary technical and organizational efforts to protect your customer data from loss, falsification or unauthorized access.

The use of personal data is subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the legal provisions of the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of answering your inquiry and for possible follow-up actions.

Storage of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated herein or for the various storage periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by HITeC at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business processing, deleted. Please send your request to privacy@hitec-hamburg.de or use our contact form.

To ensure that data can be blocked at any time, this data must be kept in a lock file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data if there is no legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request. You can make changes or withdraw your consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.

Content and services from third-party providers

The content on our website may also include content, services and benefits from other providers that supplement our offering. Examples of such offers are maps from Google Maps, YouTube videos or third-party graphics. Accessing these third-party services regularly requires the transmission of your IP address. This enables these providers to recognize your user IP address and store it. We make every effort to include only those third-party providers who use IP addresses solely for the delivery of content. However, we have no influence on which third-party provider may store the IP address.

This storage may be used for statistical purposes, for example. If we become aware of storage processes by third-party providers, we will inform our users of this fact immediately. In this context, please also note the special data protection declarations for individual third-party providers and service providers whose services we use on our website.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.

Questions about data protection

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the HITeC Privacy Policy or data processing, please send us a message at privacy@hitec-hamburg.de or via our contact form.
