Social service organizations work with the most sensitive data imaginable—ranging from child protection and integration assistance to addiction and migration—and, ironically, the very AI tools that could reduce the burden of documentation are the ones that must never have access to this data. This presentation demonstrates how open models on EU-hosted infrastructure make day-to-day work feasible: securely populating support plans and templates, visualizing cases for analysis and coaching, and using web search without revealing case data. Finally, an honest look at where standard models fall short in social work and what security through architecture means in practice—rather than just on a compliance checklist.
