ARIC Brown Bag: When AI protects: Maya against domestic violence

Not every person who experiences violence in their relationship immediately recognizes it as such – and many first look online for guidance before turning to advice centres or their personal environment. As an AI help chat, Maya offers a protected digital space for reflection, classification and strengthening one’s own confidence to act. In 30 minutes, we show how technology and social impact come together in an AI-for-good product for a particularly sensitive target group.
