Artificial intelligence and opinion-forming: danger and progress?

May 15 @ 11:00 - 11:45

It looks at the technical backgrounds that shape the influence of AI on the opinion-forming process.

As part of the Europe Weeks 2025, we invite you to an online event on the influence of artificial intelligence on opinion-forming. How do AI-supported algorithms change our perception of political debates? What role does Generative AI play in the dissemination of information – and possibly also disinformation?

Especially in times of digital media, it is important to understand how algorithms play out personalized content and what influence they can have on democratic processes, for example. We shed light on the opportunities and risks of these technologies and show what measures are necessary to strengthen an informed and critical public.

After a 30-minute presentation, you will have the opportunity to contribute your thoughts and questions in a 15-minute Q&A session. The event is aimed at people interested in AI without any prior knowledge and offers an understandable introduction to this current topic.

📅 Date & time: 15.05.2025, 11:00-11:45 a.m.
⏳ Duration: 45 minutes (30 min. presentation + 15 min. Q&A session)
