EDIH takes part in a meeting on the future of quantum technology in Berlin

Cooperation between politics, business and science is crucial for the successful implementation of innovations. We were proud to support our colleagues from HQIC(Hamburg Quantum Innovation Capital) at the first Parliamentary Evening in Berlin, which was organized with the Hamburg State Representation and the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Innovation (BWI).

The event focused on quantum computing – a key technology of our time. The active exchange between funding and decision-makers establishes Hamburg as a region in which cooperation is fast and innovations are implemented quickly.

Four inspiring keynote speeches by renowned speakers such as Prof. Dr. Klaus Sengstock (University of Hamburg), Dr. Anisa Rizvanolli (Fraunhofer IQHH), Dr. Christian Ertler (ParityQC) and Christian Wiebus (NXP Semiconductors) provided important impetus for the subsequent panel discussion.

This was moderated by Marina Tcharnetsky, Ambassador of the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) e.V.. The top-class participants in the discussion, including Prof. Dr. Kerstin Borras (DESY & RWTH Aachen), Dr. Robert Axmann (Head of the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative, QCI), Prof. Dr. Henning Moritz (University of Hamburg), Dr. Lars Schwabe (CTO, Lufthansa Industry Solutions) and Alois Krtil (CEO, ARIC e.V.), provided valuable insights and perspectives on the future of quantum computing in Hamburg and the metropolitan region.
